The South African list of high-risk countries is in constant flux, but so is the list of destinations that allow South African travellers to visit.
Just a few days ago, the South African Government revised the list of high-risk countries based on a risk categorisation model.
ASATA decided to share a high-level overview of the main destinations for South Africans stipulating which countries are open for leisure travel, whether a COVID test is required and if quarantine is needed.
Important to note is that each of these countries could have special exemptions in place for essential travel. A link is provided for each country where more in-depth information can be found.
It remains best to double-check this information against what is available from official government sources as ASATA cannot guarantee total accuracy given the ever-changing nature of the international response to COVID-19.
